The Coalmont Centennial Guestbook

Hello

Would like to encourage everyone to attend the Coalmont Centennial celebrations scheduled for July 9, 2011 in Coalmont .... sponsored by Coalmont Energy Corporation.

CEC will be resurrecting the coal mine and are currently working on upgrading equipment at the mine. Heavy production not likely until 2012, but some activity hopefully later this year.

Hope to see you in Coalmont on July 9 !!

I've been lucky enough to visit Tulameen both last year and the year before. Each time we made time to putter around in the Coalmont area - I found it facinating to consider the history and see what is left behind. I'll be back this year too I hope :)

Hi all

We recently discovered lovely Coalmont. Was wondering if anyone has pictures of INSIDE the Coalmont Hotel back in the day. The bar area, rooms, etc. Would love to see them.
Feel free to email them to me at neifer@shaw.ca

Thanks for all your help

In 2010 I have had the wonderful opportunity to see and stay in Coalmont in both the summertime and the winter time. Never before have I had such a perfect Winter Wonderland as in November of 2010. To swim in the river that winds through Coalmont in August was like coming home for me.I have fallen in love and will do all that it takes to make Coalmont my home for the years I have remaining. The natural beauty Mother Nature bestows upon the residences of Coalmont can never be explained unless one walks with Mother Nature through the four seasons to be blessed with beauty unimaginable.

Great to see all the old pics. Sorry to hear WW has passed away, my father and him were friends growing up. They owned together I believe the lake store and the property that is now the provincial picnic ground in Tulameen. Annie used run the store and I believe they rented boats too. My Grandfather was the clerk at Blakeburn when the explosion occured and also ran the Coalmont Liquor Store at one time. RV Shaw was his name. Great work on the website and will drop by for a chat this summer if that way.............

I lived in Coalmont in the 1960's and I like to go back occasionally to visit. In fact I am staying at the Mosey-On-Inn the first week of August. See you then!
